Kevin Kang

Associate, Economic Justice

Kevin Kang is the Associate, Economic Justice and supports the Foundation’s portfolio focused on advancing economic security, expanding access to capital, and confronting monopoly power.
Kevin’s has nearly two decades of organizing experience on the local and national levels, primarily rooted in immigrant communities fighting for social, racial, and economic justice. Prior to joining the Foundation, Kevin held leadership positions within the MinKwon Center for Community Action and the United We Dream Network and co-founded projects including The People’s Forum. Kevin’s current roots are with the Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for a Moral Revival and its vision of uniting the 140 million poor and low-income people in the U.S. into a transformative social and political force to address the injustices of poverty, racism, the war economy, and ecological devastation.
Kevin is passionate about developing the political and organizational leadership of directly impacted people, movement-building strategies, alternative economic models, and histories and experiences of social movements.
