Jamie San Andrés

Associate, Environmental Justice

Jamie San Andrés has more than twelve years of experience collaborating with women and BIPOC communities in the US and Latin America to advance environmental, climate, and economic justice. Her background includes grant management, research, and community organizing.

Jamie is passionate about challenging harmful extractive industries, like industrial agriculture and fossil fuels, as well as supporting grassroots efforts that build regenerative economies. Prior to joining the Foundation, she worked with Californians for Pesticide Reform, Make the Road NY, and Thousand Currents. She most recently served as the Interim Strategic Co-Director and Building Power & Impact Manager at the Cancer Free Economy Network (CFE), where she collaborated with environmental health and environmental justice organizations to reduce the cancer burden among disproportionately impacted communities and to build a healthy, regenerative, and equitable economy for all.

Jamie holds a master’s degree in Sociology from Northeastern University with an emphasis on globalization and environmental health.
