Our Grantmaking

The Nathan Cummings Foundation is a multigenerational family foundation, rooted in the Jewish tradition of social justice, working to create a more just, vibrant, sustainable and democratic society through our grantmaking in the United States and Israel. Over the last 31 years, NCF has awarded nearly half a billion dollars in grants to support movements, organizations and individuals pursuing justice for people and the planet.

We are not currently accepting unsolicited Letters of Inquiry.

Thank you for your interest in partnering with us. NCF has temporarily closed its unsolicited Letter of Inquiry (LOI) portal. We are modifying our grantmaking strategies to bring them into alignment with our strategic decision to focus solely on racial, economic, and environmental justice. During this process, we will be entering new partnerships sparingly and believe closing the LOI is the fairest way to respect grant seekers time. We will communicate here when we have updates on future grant cycles, and you can also sign up to receive regular email updates from us.
