Through an online curriculum, interviews, and profiles, the Resilience Circles Toolkit will combat shame and provide resources for resilience to one of the most economically vulnerable communities in the U.S. – older black women. The toolkit will serve as a valuable resource by amplifying the voices of older black women who are already successfully customizing viable pathways for retirement and creating modules that illustrate strategies that can be tracked and measured by participants and, ultimately, disseminated to a wider audience. The project would also work with senior service providers to pilot in-person Resilience Circle groups and develop a train the trainer manual. Research findings will be summarized in a white paper and other writings for discussion at conferences and other venues.
