In 2022, NCF solidified a place-based approach to two regions – Israel-Palestine and the U.S. South. In these regions, proximity guides us, allowing our team to ground our work in mutuality, continuous learning, and a belief that meaningful change happens when we create the conditions for leadership, creativity, and solutions to flourish on their terms.
Using the totality of NCF assets (voice, people & relationships, knowledge, and capital) we will invest in social entrepreneurs, civic leaders, and networks/organizations who share our vision of a more just society.
We are proud to learn from those who have long been advancing racial, economic, and environmental justice on the ground in Israel-Palestine and the U.S. South, and to partner with local change-makers to advance catalytic solutions in both regions.
We believe the dual crises named in our mission (inequality and climate change) cannot be addressed without first addressing their root causes and oppressive manifestations. That’s why we are focused on the long-term and interconnected goal of advancing racial, economic, and environmental justice (REEJ), our north star in the U.S. South and in Israel-Palestine
